Microsoft Malaysia announced that the Microsoft Surface RT will be available in Malaysia from 25 April 2013 onwards. The launch event will take place at Publika Shopping Gallery, Solaris Dutamas at 7pm.
The Surface RT was announced in June 2012 and made available in October last year.
While Microsoft has yet to reveal the actual retail price of the Surface RT in Malaysia, it said that the first 300 customers in line at the launch event to purchase Surface RT will be rewarded with free giveaways worth at least RM300.
Following the launch, Surface will be made available through selected stores nationwide from three participating retail partners, namely: Challenger Malaysia, Harvey Norman, and Thunder Match Technology.
Microsoft said that Surface RT boasts the ability to run apps from the Windows Store, SkyDrive cloud connectivity, games, a full-size USB port, a microSDXC card slot for adding additional storage, a 16:9 widescreen high-definition display for optimal viewing and sharing content easily, as well as the productivity of Office Home & Student 2013. It is great for those people looking for all-day battery life (up to 8 hours) and an entertainment-first experience with the ability to still get work done.
