HONOR has officially launched the Magic V3, the world’s thinnest and lightest AI foldable phone, in Malaysia. The announcement coincides with its global debut at IFA 2024 in Berlin, bringing Malaysian consumers a cutting-edge device priced at RM6,999. Pre-orders are open until September 12, offering exclusive free gifts valued at RM2,896, including an HONOR Watch 4, Magic Pen, and other accessories.
The HONOR Magic V3 boasts several impressive features, including a folded thickness of just 9.2mm and an unfolded thickness of 4.35mm, weighing 226g, which is comparable to traditional flagship smartphones. Its Aerospace Special Fiber body ensures durability while maintaining a slim profile, offering a material strength surpassing Kevlar and carbon fiber. The device also features the industry’s slimmest hinge and is capable of withstanding 500,000 folding cycles, certified by SGS for durability.
The phone is equipped with a 7.92-inch inner screen and a 6.43-inch external display, both protected by advanced materials to enhance durability. Additionally, the device is rated IPX8 water-resistant, making it resilient against spills and brief submersion.
Photographic capabilities include a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 100x zoom. Selfies and video calls are supported by a 20MP front camera on both the internal and external screens. HONOR has incorporated advanced eye protection technology, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience during extended use.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Magic V3 runs on MagicOS 8.0.1 based on Android 14, providing personalized AI features and robust performance. HONOR has also collaborated with Google Cloud to enhance AI-driven features, such as object removal from images and real-time translation.
The device includes a 5150mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, delivering fast and efficient power management. Available in three colors—Mossy Green, Silk Brown, and Classic Black—the HONOR Magic V3 offers 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, promising a seamless and premium experience for users.
