The new chapter will address key issues and opportunities within the digital infrastructure sector. Its agenda includes advocating for government incentives for both local and international players, re-evaluating energy tariff classifications, and promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources. Additionally, it aims to expand the national talent pool through curriculum development, university collaborations, and comprehensive training programs.

Primary activities of the Digital Infrastructure Chapter will include quarterly member meetings designed for networking and idea exchange, promoting best practices, facilitating learning opportunities, and advocating for Malaysia’s leadership position in the regional digital economy. These initiatives are meticulously crafted to nurture a dynamic industry and unlock the next phase of growth for Malaysia’s digital economy.

PIKOM Chairman Ong Chin Seong expressed enthusiasm about the formation of the Digital Infrastructure Chapter, noting that the establishment of this chapter underscores PIKOM’s commitment to driving innovation and growth within Malaysia’s digital economy.
