The BBC Player app is now available on Astro, giving customers front row seats to a unique mix of content spanning from world class documentaries, premium British dramas, aspirational lifestyle programmes, engaging pre-school favourites and popular shows – all within the Astro interface for the best bingeing experience. With BBC Player, viewers will be able to stream their favourite programmes from five BBC global brands which include BBC First, BBC Brit, BBC Earth, BBC Lifestyle and CBeebies.
Starting today, witness the wildlife dramas that play out in Dynasties II and get exclusive access to some of the largest factories in Britain in season 7 of Inside the Factory (18 December) on BBC Earth; catch Jamie One-Pan Wonders Christmas specials (22-23 December) and The Great British Bake Off Season 13 (31 December) on BBC Lifestyle; and don’t miss out on Christmas Specials of Call the Midwife and Death in Paradise on BBC First (26 – 27 December). Lastly, not forgetting season 33 of Top Gear and season 4 of the popular sitcom, Ghosts on BBC Brit.

In addition, CBeebies (Ch 620) will be available on the Kids Pack for pre-school kids favourites that encourage learning through play including Bluey, Hey Duggee, Go Jetters, JoJo & Gran Gran, Thomas & Friends, Teletubbies, and many more. All Astro customers can also enjoy a preview of CBeebies on Ch 620 and the BBC Player app from 15 December 2022 till 31 January 2023.
With this addition, now you can stream eight streaming apps seamlessly with Astro: BBC Player, beIN SPORTS CONNECT, Disney+ Hotstar, HBO GO, iQIYI, Netflix, TVBAnywhere+ and our own Astro GO, with more streaming apps such as Viu coming soon.
To access the “BBC Player” app on the Ultra Box, press “Home” on the Astro remote control and select the app under the “Apps” rail. Follow the steps on screen to pair your account with your Ultra Box by scanning the QR code and logging in with your Astro ID. Once complete, you will be able to stream the best BBC shows and programmes depending on your Astro pack!
