The Star Media Group’s video-on-demand service Dimsum Entertainment is expanding its extensive content offering to include global news, in collaboration with two new content partners: Al Jazeera and Channel News Asia (CNA). This latest offering features live news streams, allowing viewers to stay up-to-date with breaking news.
Al Jazeera and CNA certainly need no introduction; they are trusted sources for breaking news, commentary, documentaries and other quality content. Both are renowned for their unbiased, yet in-depth reporting.
Dimsum Entertainment’s news channel is set to launch in Malaysia on 14 October 2020 and will be available for free viewing. Both Al Jazeera and CNA can be viewed on Dimsum Entertainment’s web and mobile application upon release.
In addition, Dimsum Entertainment is pleased to announce that we will be bringing in “Storm Bytes” from Singapore-based TechStorm. “Storm Bytes” is TechStorm’s original mini-series, featuring high quality entertainment about esports, tech, and start-up trends from all over Asia.
Though relatively new, TechStorm is Asia’s fastest growing channel that focuses on premium Asian esports and tech innovation stories. Only 18 months into its inception, TechStorm has already reached 43 million viewers.
Subscribers of Dimsum Entertainment can also access The Star, R.AGE and CCTV4 News for more local and global news coverage.
Those who fancy entertainment news, on the other hand, are encouraged to check out E-News Headlines, i-CABLE, NewShowBiz and mStar.
