After the massive 11.11 Global Shopping Festival, are millions of shoppers still interested in 12.12?
According to the data we gathered from 6 Southeast Asia countries that ShopBack has a presence – Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines – the answer is definite:
- On the SEA level, we observed a significant traffic (web + app) spike in the first hour. It increases by almost 400% compared to the same hour (00.00 am – 01.00 am) last year on 12/12/2018.
- Malaysia experienced the same strong traffic growth, leading by the top 3 popular e-merchants: Lazada, Shopee, Taobao. If we would compare it to the same hour on an average day in December this year, the traffic growth is more than 800% higher than usual.
As the leading cashback platform in the region, ShopBack partners with more than 2000 e-merchants (Malaysia alone: more than 500 e-merchants) to reward up to 30% cashback whenever shoppers go through ShopBack web or app to make purchases. The list of partner e-merchants includes Shopee, Lazada, ZALORA, Alibaba’s group Taobao, Tmall and AliExpress, as well as Agoda, Booking.com, KLOOK, and many more.
Currently, over 13 million shoppers (Malaysia alone: more than 2 million users) shop through ShopBack before they start their shopping journey. Besides cashback, ShopBack users also get to enjoy exclusive voucher codes provided by e-merchants. ShopBack Malaysia has rewarded a total of more than RM50 million worth of cashback to its local users, of which the cashback earned by shoppers can be withdrawn to their bank account.
