Apple has released today the first beta versions of the upcoming iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.3, and tvOS 13.3.1 software updates for supported iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV devices.

With the final release of iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3, tvOS 13.3, watchOS 6.1.1, and macOS Catalina 10.15.2 hitting the streets last week, it’s time for Apple to kick off a new development cycle, this time for iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1, tvOS 13.3.1, watchOS 6.1.2, and macOS Catalina 10.15.3.

The first beta of iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.3, and tvOS 13.3.1 are now available for registered developers with an active Apple Developer account, which they can download and install right now on their devices dedicated to beta software development.

Screen Time communication limits fixes

With the iOS 13.3.1 and iPadOS 13.3.1 software updates, Apple is believed to attempt to address the bug that lets kids bypass the restrictions that the Cupertino, California-based company implemented with the latest iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 releases through a new communication limits features in Screen Time.

By the look of it, these are minor bugfix releases that only address important issues and annoyances, as well as security vulnerabilities. Most probably, Apple will also release a first beta of watchOS 6.1.2 in the coming days, along with public betas of iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1, tvOS 13.3.1, and macOS Catalina 10.15.3.

The final release could land later this month or in early January 2020, so make sure you update your devices to the latest software versions as soon as they are generally available. We’ll keep you up-to-date with the development of iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.3, tvOS 13.3.1, and watchOS 6.1.2 as soon as we know more.
