While everybody’s now waiting for Samsung’s all-new Galaxy S11, the South Korean company is believed to be giving the finishing touches to three other new products as we speak.
They are the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy Note10 Lite, and Galaxy A51, all of which could go live as soon as December, according to a report from 91Mobiles.
While it’s important to take this report with a healthy dose of skepticism, a December launch makes sense from a business perspective given that the Galaxy S11 should be announced in February.
Both Galaxy S10 Lite and Note10 Lite are supposed to be more affordable versions of the models already on the market, so they will obviously lack certain capabilities that helped reduce the pricing.
Possible tech specs
Galaxy S10 Lite, for example, could come with a screen that’s larger than the one on the Galaxy S10e, and still feature 45W fast charging and microSD card support. The device might be equipped with a triple camera system that includes 48MP main sensor, 12 MP wide angle, and 5 MP depth.
Galaxy A51, on the other hand, could use a 6.5-inch display and be powered by the Exynos 9611 chip paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage. Android 10 will be pre-installed from the very beginning, which means that by the time it launches, the OS update could also be finalized for other Samsung devices as well.
Of course, an official announcement from Samsung isn’t yet available, so these dates could change depending on how the finishing touches advance.
Samsung, however, is believed to have been working on these models for quite some time now, so bringing them to the market ahead of the holiday season could be the right way to go, especially to avoid cannibalizing the Galaxy S11.
