ShopBack ShopFest Returns with Millions of Vouchers and Cashback Giveaway

ShopBack, the leading one-stop rewards platform kicked off ShopBack ShopFest, the biggest online shopping festival in Asia Pacific that encompasses all important events namely 9.9, #MYCYBERSALE, 11.11, Black Friday & Cyber Monday, 12.12 and Christmas & New Year Sales. During this period, not only Malaysian shoppers can easily access the best deals, vouchers and cashback offered by all popular online shopping stores under one roof, but also receive 1.5 million of vouchers and over RM20 million cashback through ShopBack.

The inaugural ShopBack ShopFest received an overwhelming response last year. In Malaysia, the top 3 most purchased categories are Online Marketplace, Travel, and Fashion. On the regional level, 10 million orders were transacted on Online Marketplaces, 1.4 million of nights were booked with Online Travel Agents and 1 Million pieces of clothing were bought by users from ShopBack in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, and Australia.

According to a recent online shopping sentiments survey done by ShopBack Malaysia, among 1,200 respondents, 90% of online shoppers expressed that they intend to purchase something for themselves at the end of the year. Fashion, Beauty & Supplements, Home & Living are voted as the top 3 choices. 40% of the respondents plan to spend within a range of RM51-RM150, and 32% prepare to spend between RM151-500.

“Compared to 2H2018, we observed that there is an increment of 77% in terms of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) generated through our platform in 1H2019. Given the positive outlook and strong online shopping interest found among local shoppers, we are confident that 2H2019 will grow even better with the launch of ShopBack ShopFest,” he said.

Moreover, he expressed that popular merchants such as Agoda, Booking.com, Lazada, KLOOK, Shopee, Taobao, ZALORA, etc. will be giving up to 80% discounts in each of the six major year-end sales this year. On top of that, all ShopBack users will be able to get an additional up to 30% cashback and vouchers.

“We expect all shoppers to receive double the number of vouchers and cashback compared to  last year. This year, we’ll make their experience even more fulfilling with the introduction of new app features such as a shortcut to upsize cashback, voucher redemption, as well as fun games throughout ShopBack ShopFest 2019,” he added.

Starting from 6th September 2019, ShopBack will kick off the festival with two in-app and online games – Voucher Hunt and Coin Monster. Users can participate in the Voucher Hunt from 6th – 9th September by visiting ShopBack App, or catching Coin Monster through ShopBack Malaysia Facebook page from 9th – 15th September. Apart from that, users can also enter code ‘shopback’ under ShopBack app > profile > rewards section to redeem bonus cashback. More than 1.5 million of vouchers are prepared to be given away during this period.

Currently, over 1.5 million of Malaysians are using ShopBack to earn extra savings from their online purchases, and the top user has withdrawn more than RM30,000 cashback to his account.
