Apple released today the final version of the tvOS 13 operating system for Apple TV devices, a major software update that introduces several new features and enhancements.
Coming hot on the heels of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, the tvOS 13 operating system ships with the all-new TV app, a revamped Home screen and support for multiple users, along with an all-new Apple TV Control Center from where you can switch between each family members, which can have their own personalized entertainment experience.
The new Control Center, located on the right side of the screen, will give users quick access to key Apple TV features, such as to put their Apple TV to sleep and access audio routing. Moreover, Apps will now be able to play full-screen video previews on the new Home screen.
tvOS 13 also brings new underwater 4K HDR screen savers, support for the recently launched Apple Arcade game subscription service, along with support for connecting PlayStation 4 DualShock and Xbox One wireless game controllers to play your favorite games.

Also new in tvOS 13 is the ability for family members to play their favorite and personalized playlists via the Apple Music app, which takes advantage of the new multi-user support. tvOS 13 is also ready to support Apple’s upcoming Apple TV+ video streaming service, which launches on November 1st and features original TV shows and movies.
tvOS 13 is available right now for the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD (3rd generation). Users can install it on their supported Apple TV devices by opening the Settings app and then accessing System > Software Updates > Update Software. The software update is done in two steps and your Apple TV will reboot automatically to install the new tvOS 13 release.
