Mitch McConnell’s campaign Twitter account was unlocked Friday after a number of days in limbo over its posting of a profanity-laced video that threatened violence in opposition to the Republican Senate majority chief within the wake of the Texas and Ohio capturing massacres.

Twitter had locked the account, saying the video violated its violent threats coverage.

The account had not posted since Tuesday, when it tweeted a video of protesters outdoors the Kentucky senator’s residence, one among whom says “just stab the mother—- in the heart” and fantasizes about McConnell breaking his neck.

McConnell campaign supervisor Kevin Golden praised Twitter’s choice to unlock the account, however criticized the corporate’s earlier transfer. “It is still deeply concerning that Twitter would ban us from posting a video of threats made against us but allow Liberal Hollywood celebrities to post exactly what we did without suffering the same penalty,” Golden stated.

“It shouldn’t have taken an avalanche of outrage from across the country to stop Silicon Valley from launching an effort to silence conservatives like the Majority Leader of the United States Senate in the first place.”

Golden added that Twitter should not take comparable motion once more sooner or later. “We look forward to learning more about what steps Twitter will take to ensure that this egregious suppression campaign never happens again.”
