Boo Hoo, it is not fair that people will have to work on weekends.. It's NOT RIGHT!!! Pffft.. No ONE is forcing you to work on weekends.. It is only because people/companies feel the need to be FIRST!! or they will miss out, because everyone else will be launching their stuff.. You do know that life is rarely fair, AND if you are in an industry that has embargoes for a certain date ect.. then you have to expect that people are going to work weekends to get things done.. Most folks do not get these nice little set schedules of 4 or 5 days Monday through Friday with weekends off. Those are just days of the week.. They are no different than Mondays, Tuesdays, ect…
If you do not want your employees to have to work weekends then do not expect them to and deal with that for what it is.
I mean come on.. You all have been doing WAN show forever and you all can not even get a working streaming setup after all these years.. Nor can you be on time.. You have Thousands of FANS all around the world that you waste their time every single week waiting for you all to get your shit together so they can watch the show live and comment in the live chats that you all no longer even bother to read.. Many stay up late waiting for a stream and like tonight you all never even came INTO the chats to tell us that you were not going to bother with streaming this week and to wait for the VOD.. No tweets NOTHING.. and You want us to feel any sort of sympathy that oh nooos people will have to work over the weekend so you can release your videos on AMD whatever at the same time as everyone else that is willing to work over weekends? Life is just not fair.. We know that.. You know that.. Jeeze Linus sometimes you show just how out of touch you have gotten.
As far as I was aware the Disney live acion remakes are to prevent the rights falling back into the public domain after they fought so hard to get them. Hence the lack of effort into them
