Issues relating to Telecommunication services are never ending. Just look up of the Telco Facebook page and there are hundred of complaints and dissatisfaction in a day.
Some of the key issues include poor mobile coverage, billing, unjustified Streamyx pricing, among the few.
To address and improve customer services, 7 Telco CEOs will undertake a pledge in the presence of Minister of Communications and Multimedia, YB Gobind Singh Deo this Friday.
The seven Telcos are:
- Celcom Axiata Berhad
- Telekom Malaysia Berhad
- Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd
- U Mobile Sdn Bhd
- YTL Communications Sdn Bhd
- TIME DotCom Bhd
- Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd.
According to MCMC, “Efforts to improve services have been ongoing with significant improvements in many areas. However, this time round, a united stance of coming together to address the various areas is being initiated. In short, the objective of the pledge is to improve and reduce consumer issues within the telecommunications industry, and it will set standards for all the parties to adopt and follow, besides ensuring consumers get fair and reasonable resolutions as well as increase customer satisfaction.”
