Global smartphone brand HONOR reveals the world’s first Dynamic Holographic design in the upcoming flagship HONOR 20 Series. The flagship series symbolizes another milestone in the evolution of HONOR, as the first smartphone series that is comprised of HONOR 20, HONOR 20 PRO, and HONOR 20 Lite.
HONOR 20 Series will be unveiled at the global launch event in London on May 21 for the newest member of HONOR’s renowned N-Series, lauded for its superior design and photography capability. The launch will invite users to “Capture Wonder” with its professional-grade camera and the wondrous visual effect of the Dynamic Holographic design – a masterpiece crafted through the seamless merge of artistic consideration and cutting-edge Triple 3D Mesh technology.
The Wonder of Cutting-Edge Dynamic Holographic Design
As worldwide brands focus on pushing the limits of smartphone functionality, HONOR is on a quest to combine functionality and pure aesthetics. The HONOR 20 redesigns the user experience by becoming the first smartphone in HONOR’s history to introduce a multi-dimensional, Dynamic Holographic glassback.
The Dynamic Holographic glassback was made in a two-staged process made possible by HONOR’s industry-first Triple 3D Mesh technology. The depth layer is created using a precise technique. It is embedded with millions of miniature prisms that resemble pieces of diamonds.
Upon completion of this intricate process, the designers combine it with two other surfaces: the first layer is the glass layer, while the second layer is coated in the hue of upcoming HONOR 20 colors to be revealed at the launch event on May 21. The outcome is a depth-inducing optical effect that makes the HONOR 20 Series stand out from its predecessors.
The Wonder of HONOR’s “Always Better” Design Ethos
“Our design ethos ‘Always Better’ can be found in everything we create. HONOR’s latest Triple 3D Mesh technology is a piece of state-of-the-art craftsmanship. Unveiled for HONOR 20 Series, this industry-first involves a highly precise and complex assembly process. For every 100 back covers, only 20 meet our stringent standards. Despite the tremendous challenge this presents, HONOR is still committed to creating a glassback using this technique. We are driven to offer the very best to our customers,” said George Zhao, President of HONOR.
HONOR is known for leading the revolution of glassback design with pioneering technology, starting with the HONOR 8 2.5D glassback and the HONOR 9 in an immersive 3D curved design. The HONOR 10 then introduced the Aurora design – an iridescent color gradient that dazzled the world. With the HONOR 20 Series, HONOR is ready to push their engineering effort to the limit of light play and innovative design-thinking to create its world-first Dynamic Holographic design, along with HONOR’s signature design approach to colors.
The Wonder of Honor 20 User-Centric Design and Features
HONOR’s “Always Better” design philosophy drives the brand to go beyond the textural and color design of the Dynamic Holographic glassback. HONOR 20 Series boasts a 6.26″ all-view display with a 91.6% screen-to-body ratio. Paired with a 4.5mm in-screen camera, the all-view display allows an even more enthralling visual experience without compromising on aesthetics.
Unlike its predecessors, the edges have been smoothed for a sleek design. This involves the careful positioning of the fingerprint sensor on the right side of its aluminum frame to complement the natural placement of fingers when one picks up a phone. The anti-fingerprint surface ensures that the phone looks good all the time. Not only does the curved screen provide a better hand grip, but it also leverages all three dimensions of the phone: length, width, and height to improve the overall viewing experience.
The asymmetrical “L-shaped” positioning of the camera lenses improves the technological prowess of the HONOR 20 because it allows for a bigger battery size while maintaining the aesthetic of the Dynamic Holographic glassback.
The HONOR 20 Series will capture wonders at the launch event and reveal many more camera capabilities and color designs on May 21, Tuesday. Please save the date and stay tuned for more updates on HONOR’s website hihonor.com and the official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HonorMY/.
