2018 has been a breakthrough year with remarkable achievements for the smartphone brand of TP-Link, Neffos. Market data for 2018 shows that global shipments of Neffos smartphones grew by 300 percent year-over-year.
Neffos has witnessed a robust growth in the first three quarters of 2018, it maintained this strong momentum and made a sprint in Q4. Neffos has seen a significant increase by 125% in Q4 2018 shipments, with the shipments increasing by 528% in Middle East and 474% in East Europe. While in South America, the number is 155%. Especially in the last month, Neffos’ shipments of smartphones have exceeded 110,000 units, which marks a distinct and impressive achievement for Neffos in 2018.
Based the incisive understanding of consumers, Neffos has launched 8 products in 2018, including C5A, C5s, C9, C9A, C7A, C5 Plus, N1 and X9. Some models are integrated with full-view display and AI technology to keep up with the trend. For instance, Neffos X9 boasts a large Full-View touch display that spans 5.99 inches and features narrow bezels to maximize the screen real estate without expanding the phone’s overall footprint.
The Neffos C9 and C9A likewise impress with their tall, 18:9 HD+ displays that arrive in generous sizes of 5.99 and 5.45 inches, respectively, for immersive, full-screen experiences that are sure to please. Similar to the X9, the C9 and C9A incorporate fingerprint sensors into their designs, as well as facial recognition for quick and convenient unlocking using the selfie camera. Powered by the latest AI technology, the C9 and C9A read facial features with incredible accuracy.
Neffos recently exhibited at MWC 2019, in Barcelona, Spain, showcasing its new Neffos X20 and X20 Pro flagship phones with dewdrop-style display notches, gradient designs, and dual back-facing cameras enhanced by artificial intelligence. The two models are expected to hit the market in June, along with Neffos’ own NFUI 9.0 software based on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system. As NFUI 9.0 hasn’t launched yet, the X20 and X20 Pro will be the first devices to run the latest user interface out of the box.
NFUI 9.0 introduces several camera-app improvements, such as an improved Bokeh Portrait, which is available on both rear and front cameras and adds background blur to an image. There’s also AI Beauty mode for better selfies. It uses deep learning and AI to identify and enhance a person’s facial features. Enabling AI Scene Recognition allows the camera to detect up to 17 different scenes and objects to automatically select the best settings for the best photos.
Having already introduced the Android GO Neffos C5 Plus earlier this year, Neffos today is announcing another Android GO based smartphone, the Neffos C7 Lite. The C7 Lite adopts a high-performance 4G LTE baseband chip for ultra-fast wireless internet and an anti-electromagnetic interference design. It likewise uses a high-standard antenna structure, which undergoes testing in a world-class Satimo anechoic chamber that’s completely shielded from all external interference, to ensure better reception, while an ESD test machine at the factory verifies its electrical resistance.
The Neffos C7 Lite flaunts a 5.45-inch FullView Display with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio and has a nicely designed, solid built body that fits well in the hand. Its relatively compact size is perfect for one-handed use, and the slightly contoured display glass and rounded sides allow for easier handling. The phone’s earpiece speaker and mic are optimized for call quality as well.
Smartphones running Android Go can open apps 15 percent faster than their non-Go counterparts. Further, their core apps take up less space in the built-in storage, so users will be able to install more apps and files offline in the Neffos C7 Lite’s 16GB memory. If more space is needed, the phone has a memory-card slot that can handle cards with up to 128GB of storage.
For taking pictures, there’s an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing option for selfies. The main camera captures images and video with incredible detail and colors, so users never miss a moment with the people who matter most. Camera modes such as HDR, Burst, and Panorama make sure they can take the best possible shot in different scenarios without the need for any extra equipment or third-party editing software.
Additionally, the Neffos C7 Lite boasts a Beautification Mode that can cover up imperfections while highlighting all the user’s natural features with varying degrees of intensity when taking a selfie. The front camera also has a Selfie Flash feature, which uses the screen to brighten up the face if the surroundings are too dark.
The Neffos C7 Lite is set to enter the Malaysian market by early May. For further information, visit http://www.neffos.my/ or follow Neffos on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at @Neffos.Malaysia (Facebook), @neffos.malaysia (Instagram) @NeffosMalaysia (Twitter).
