HappyFresh Celebrates 4th Anniversary

HappyFresh, Malaysia’s Leading Online Grocery Delivery company is celebrating its fourth anniversary with several landmark milestones, as well as introducing its new CSR programme and rewards for their loyal customers.

From a company of just ten employees, it has grown a hundred-fold over the past four years to nearly 1000 staff across the country. Now, the HappyFresh app has more than 300,000 products to choose from and it offers over 5140 offers across all categories, which has led to HappyFresh riders covering a whopping 6,339,650km in the participating states and counting.

Fresh Produce, Dairy & Eggs, Dry & Canned Goods emerged as the top three grocery categories.

From its humble beginnings of delivering fresh, hand-picked groceries from just 10 stores in 2014, HappyFresh now has 92 partners and 278 supermarkets and stores with more than 300,000 products to choose from retailers such as Tesco, Mydin, Giant, Cold Storage, Jason’s Food Hall and Mercato, amongst many others.

Hu Hun Hui, Managing Director of HappyFresh Malaysia said, “HappyFresh has taken great strides to cement our position as the leading online grocery delivery company in Malaysia. What began as a simple idea to help the local families in their daily lives by removing the pains of queuing, carrying groceries and transporting them home has become a four-year success story that continues to unfold. We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the support that we have received. This milestone is further motivation for us to grow and improve whilst helping customers to save more and spend wisely with HappyFresh.”

Sharing the Joy

In conjunction with the celebrations, HappyFresh is also launching ‘Ibu Charity Store’, a CSR initiative where customers can shop for groceries to be donated to selected orphanages around the Klang Valley.

“We are always looking forward to putting more smiles on the faces of others through our services and kindness of our customers. With our new CSR initiative, customers can now shop by choosing the store named ‘Ibu Charity Store’ on the app for groceries to be donated. Once the items are paid for, it will be distributed to orphanages around the Klang Valley,” Hu adds.

Hu also mentioned that HappyFresh is continuing to work on expansions to reach out to more stores in their efforts to provide more choices for their customers.
