Realme Attains the Worldwide Premiere Right for the P70 Processor

Realme, the emerging ground-breaking smartphone brand that offers strong performance devices for the youth is proud to announce that its latest model – the Realme U1 is the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with the MTK Helio P70 chip, which is an octa-core processor based on TSMC 12-nanometre FinFET process.

On choosing the Realme brand to launch P70, TL Lee, General Manager, Wireless Communication, MediaTek said: “We are delighted to partner with Realme to launch the World’s first MediaTek Helio P70 chipset powered smartphone. The P70 is the latest and most powerful chip in the MediaTek P-Series, and represents significant optimization and improvements in performance and power consumption. It is designed with stronger camera module support and better AI performance. As the Realme brand targets young users that have high expectations of smartphone performance, power consumption, and camera functions, Realme’ s platform will showcase the full potential of the Helio P70. Through this cooperation with Realme, MediaTek will continue to expand internationally.”

The P70 chip uses TSMC’s latest 12nm FinFET production process, which reduces power consumption by 15% compared to the previous 14nm process. At the same time, the P70 features an octa-core architecture with four Cortex-A53 high-efficiency cores and four Cortex-A73 high-performance cores, for a maximum clock speed of 2.1GHz. In terms of graphics processing, the P70 is equipped with a 900MHz ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, resulting in overall computing performance that is 13% higher than the P60.

As a really young brand, how did Realme secure the worldwide premiere right of the P70? P70 is a powerful player within the mid-range market, and since Realme is a rising star in the industry, it was natural for MediaTek to collaborate with the brand. Realme’s strong growth momentum indicates that sales will continue to rise, and MediaTek is naturally willing to cooperate with high occupancy rate players to expand market share. The ” premiere right ” not only showcases the sincerity of cooperation between both parties, but also affirms Realme’s market strength.

As the Realme 2 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE, both Qualcomm and MediaTek attach great importance to the Realme brand. While the date for the launch and availability of the Realme U1 to in Malaysia is unconfirmed, the brand will continue its powerful performance, stylish design, and sincere service, whilst discovering more possibilities for smartphones.
