Some 35,000 Red Shirt members are expected to attend the rally to oppose the International Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) at Dataran Merdeka tomorrow.
The movement’s chairman Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos said this time, the group will be sporting a different image than the one during previous rallies.
“As you all know, the rally to oppose ICERD is a peaceful rally that has obtained the approval from authorities.
“There is no need for us to have a protest demonstration, instead this is a solidarity gathering by the ummah to defend the federal constitution,” he said at an anti-ICERD gathering for the Sungai Besar Parliamentary constituency, here, last night.
