Mate 9 with dual Leica camera, Kirin 960 chipset

New Huawei Mate 9 is built of metal around a big 5.9″ IPS display of 1080p resolution. The screen is covered with a piece of the 2.5D glass. The phablet is just 7.5mm thick and weighs the 190g.

Once again, Huawei has decided to include Leica-powered cameras into one of its flagship smartphones. The Mate 9 comes with a combination of 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel rear-facing cameras. The latter is a monochrome camera. The dual-camera setup features OIS (optical image stabilization), hybrid zoom, anti-shake capability, and 4K video recording.

The Mate 9 comes with a large 4,000 mAh battery and SuperCharge technology, which should charge it up to 58% in just 30 minutes.

Software-wise, Huawei Mate 9 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI on top. The smartphone will be available in multiple colors, including Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown, and Ceramic White.

Huawei is going to release the Mate 9 phablet first in China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Thailand, and United Arab Emirates. Even more markets will join these soon after. The suggested retail price is €699 for Europe.
