A new property management service called GuestReady is now launched in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Paris and Amsterdam.
Based in Switzerland, GuestReady is aimed at busy Airbnb hosts, investment property owners providing a range of ‘5 star host concierge services’ such as cleaning, laundry, check-in, check-out of guests and more importantly, manages entire properties, which includes guest communication, maintaining listings on multiple short term rental sites, and ensuring the property generates the maximum possible yield.
Tan Wen Dee (picture), Co-founder and Managing Director of GuestReady says “Kuala Lumpur is a dynamic tourist destination and according to Airbnb from 40 million people who have stayed in Airbnb homes in 2015, Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur had a remarkable growth of 1,200% ranked as the 3rd top trending destination on Airbnb.”
Tan Wen Dee was previously the Head of Partnership and Offline Marketing in Zalora Malaysia and Country Lead in HotelQuickly Malaysia.
“We see this trend as the big opportunity for GuestReady. The sharing economy is exploding, demand and supply are on their highest levels in history. GuestReady’s mission is to help professionalising the industry by defining high standards and a reliable and trustworthy service. We go the extra mile for an outstanding guest experience, and to help property owners to generate extra income” elaborates Tan Wen Dee who was the Head of Partnership and Offline Marketing in Zalora Malaysia and Country Lead in HotelQuickly Malaysia.
While traditional property agents focus on long-term rental and management of properties, GuestReady focuses on the underserved niche of short-term and vacation rentals.
The startup has been backed by Switzerland’s Swiss Founders Fund with an undisclosed sum. The founding team of GuestReady consists almost exclusively of former executives at Rocket Internet ventures like Zalora, Foodpanda, Kaymu, or Wimdu. The team definitely has the experience and execution power to ramp up operations quickly and to become a dominant player in the short-term rental industry.
GuestReady is expected to be available in other countries soon.
