The Communications and Multimedia Consumer Forum of Malaysia (CFM) announced yesterday that all telecommunication companies will give Prepaid GST rebates to individual prepaid customers who are Malaysian nationals, for one year throughout 2016. The rebate equivalent to the GST amount will be credited directly to their prepaid accounts, effective 1 January 2016 until 31 December 2016.
Prepaid reload/top up pricing will now revert to its original pricing starting 2016. This means that a RM10 reload will be sold at RM10 while a RM50 reload will be sold at RM50, and so on. Consumers don’t have to pay more for GST when buying a reload coupon in 2016.
