Mediagroup Academy, a division of Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup, and Dolby Laboratories, Inc. announced the launch of the first media training facilities in Malaysia to be fully equipped for training on the creation of Dolby 5.1 surround sound. The media training academy will provide professional-level education for working media practitioners and media enthusiasts who seek to enhance their knowledge.

With this collaborative effort, Malaysian broadcasters can now be further equipped to create more immersive content and television experiences. The brand-new facility is expected to start operations in early March.

Mediagroup Academy (MGA), located in Setia Walk, Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia, is retrofitted with an on-air multi-purpose studio room, a voice over booth, a Dolby 5.1 surround sound master control room with multi-track production, a studio lounge and a 40-seater training room for theoretical workshops. The Mediagroup Academy offers training and workshop courses covering a complete range of media topics like Creative TV/Radio production, Media Sales Training, Surround sound techniques and others.
