“The i-Pmart Lifestyle Link is not a loyalty card.  It is a lifestyle convenience card that  combines all of today’s modern lifestyle essentials into one multi-functional card. As the leading Malaysian online IT products and gadgets retail and merchandise company established since 2001, we are able to track the behavioural patterns and purchases of our tech-savvy and modern consumers over time. Based on data analysis, feedback as well as specific requests from our loyal customers, i-Pmart Lifestyle Link, the all-in-one card that provides the ultimate link to their modern lifestyles was conceived,” said Mart Tang, CEO of i-Pmart Lifestyle Sdn Bhd.

“Based on our analysis, the rise of online purchases have increased significantly over the past six months mainly from the Generation Y population. This generation has no qualms or suspicion like the previous generation had with online purchasing as e-commerce is already imbued in their lifestyles,” added Tang.

“In this current technology economy environment, which sees the increased demand for IT products and gadgets, and the merging of both social and real worlds, it is certainly timely to introduce the i-Pmart Lifestyle Link programme, that provides this link.”

i-Pmart said it plans to the the Lifestyle Link card a debit card in the future. It said that it is currently talking to banks and Bank Negara to make this happen. The company claims that it makes about RM1 million sales every month.

The launch was graced by local celebrities including Gabriella Robinson, Miss Tourism International 2012; Kim Low, Miss Tourism World Malaysia 2012; Josiah Glenn Mizumaki, model, television host and Fashion Ambassador for Kronenbourg 1664; and Isaac Ong, Malaysia’s 2007 Top New Model and main actor of The Hunter 3D, Southeast Asia’s first 3D movie.
