Fujitsu has launched its concept store at Prangin Mall, Penang, in its efforts to strengthen brand exposure, extend its reach to its consumer base as well as to drive commercial business.

Named Fujitsu Business Corner, the 600 square-feet business corner will serve as a contact point for consumers to experience the latest consumer and commercial products. Unlike other Fujitsu’s concept store, the Fujitsu Business Corner houses a business corner that showcases a range of business notebooks tailored specifically for executives, with specially trained sales consultants to advise on the options available with Fujitsu products.

“The Fujitsu Business Corner at Prangin Mall will be a point of liaison for our customers in Penang and also a central hub for the northern region of Malaysia. This strategic location choice of the Fujitsu Business Corner is our next step in our expansion strategy to provide Fujitsu products and services across the nation and with that said, Fujitsu is planning to launch more business corners across the nation to further strengthen our brand’s visibility in Malaysia,” said Yap Hui Hui, Country Manager of Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific.

“Penang holds a robust business environment for Fujitsu to further grow as one of the trusted brands in Malaysia. The launching of this new business corner is one of the first steps we have taken to address the balance between consumer and commercial products as we see the need to shift our focus towards the commercial segment. We are also looking at double digit growth in the commercial segment by the end of year 2013 as Fujitsu foresees growth potential and seeks further penetration in the area.”

In 2012, Fujitsu launched its first concept store in Digital Mall, Petaling Jaya, as a strategy to drive business growth in Malaysia. The store featured the entire range of Fujitsu’s products from laptops, to desktops and various other accessories. Sharing the similar concept, the Fujitsu Business Corner will be featuring not only consumer devices, but a range of business notebooks as well as accessories.

Besides serving the needs of consumers and business corporates, the Fujitsu Business Corner is also a center to advocate green technology through its range of green products such as the LIFEBOOK S762, featuring the 0-watt AC adaptor that consumes 99% less power to standard AC adaptors, and the LIFEBOOK T902 that features the same 0-watt AC adaptor and also the Ambient Light Sensor that automatically adjusts LCD brightness to working environments.

The new Fujitsu Business Corner will be operating seven days a week from 11:30am to 9:30pm.
