Intel Malaysia has launched Ultrabook City, an all-new retail experience at Plaza Low Yat for Malaysian technology fans to discover Ultrabooks, a new category of devices which is the next generation of mobile computers.

Ultrabooks, are thinner, lighter and more responsive than traditional laptops and more powerful and secure than tablets.

Intel recently unveiled the next wave of Ultrabook systems powered by new 3rd generation Intel Core processors made with the world’s most advanced transistors. These new devices are responsive and more secure to better protect personal information. The chips also offer increased media and graphics performance, long battery life and more choice in stylish designs.

Visitors to Ultrabook City will have the chance to play with the latest models from Acer, Asus, Samsung, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Sony and Fujitsu. There will also be demonstration of exciting new future technologies including facial recognition.

“With Ultrabook City, we intend to elevate the consumer Ultrabook experience to a new level of excitement in a unique retail setting unlike any other we’ve done before,” said Prakash Mallya, Country Manager of Sales and Marketing, Intel Malaysia.

More adventurous shoppers can also try to win their very own Ultrabook, up for grabs in two fun-filled activities: Ultrabook Temptations and Intel’s Catch & Win Contest.

Ultrabook Temptations challenges customers to demonstrate as much excitement as possible to win an Ultrabook and consumers can take on this challenge at the Ultrabook City in Plaza Low Yat. Catch & Win is an interactive mobile app challenge where consumers capture Ultrabook code markers around Plaza Low Yat to stand a chance win an Ultrabook every two weeks. Ultrabook Temptations will run until 29th July whilst the Catch & Win Contest will end on 16th September.
